Chatellerault knife - 2 pieces - Snakewood handle

The name Chatellerault comes from the Herault family who owned the town in the 9th century (Chatel Herault)

The first statute on cutlery dates from 25 May 1771 and states that there are fifty master cutlers, which means that the cutlery industry has existed for a very long time... The first production was swords, daggers, daggers ... There were 4 models of pocket knives: the jambette knife, the pump knife, the dagger knife, the hunting knife.

They were produced in Chatellerault from 1850 to 1930, but also in Thiers from 1850 to 1950.

Our current Chatellerault knife is the dagger knife.
